Deconstructing..

Deconstructing, ie. To dismantle.

Deconstructing in fashion could be considered as the process of combing the art world with the fashion world.
Taking apart garments, ripping, shredding, layering, peeling is all part of this technique.
Deconstruction is all about the unusual, pushing boundaries and doing what no one else has done before.

Before his fall from grace, John Galliano was one of the most successful designers to combine art and fashion. This could be clearly seen in his couture shows for Christian Dior.

One of his best shows to use an example is Spring 2006.

Inspired by riots he witnessed while holidaying in France, Gallianos couture collection was a decontructed, blood spattered, anger filled spectacle.
