Going places..

So, last week I was told to get out of my sketchbook and basically just get on with doing stuff. I tried.
Continuing on from the london tubes I thought about the different routes it takes and linked that to the different routes I take everyday. Sooo to try something 'different' I took out my camera.

I'm not sure if I think these are completely finished yet but until I come
up with something to do that they'll have to do.

P.S......I found this blog by someone called Annie Mole who is completely obsessed with the London underground, Paris metro etc.. and basically revolves her whole life around it. She actually has a very interesting view on everything and takes in every little detail on life underground.

Day one...kinda not really

Motion and Movement?..

Have to be honest my mind was completely blank when I first read the brief. It was too long of a summer and I had become slightly creatively drained. However, I managed to get myself going and put something together. Being the biology nerd I am I based my initial responses on how our nervous system sends messages and how out internal movement contrasts greatly to our external  movement.
I explored this in my sketch book doing various drawings of body parts.

After exploring these movements for a while I decided to go into more detail and look at the veins and nerve messages and try yo expand my idea. This is where the London underground came in. Our nerve responses reminded me of the tubes and how they get to different places in a certain amount of time.

So, basically at the moment I'm focusing on the tubes and subways and how the connect, move and intertwine. I've also linked this to the inside of tubes and how people move inside of them depending on where they get off and how far they have to travel.

Now I just need to get out of my sketchbook and onto something more 3d related.
