Fashion Elective: Day Two - Shapes,shapes,shapes,shapes

a VERY important word in fashion. 

Shape.

And I didn't realise how important until this week.

After all our drawing we started to pull out shapes from the drawings.

 (for example)

In our project brief we were asked to pick two shapes to work with.

I chose these.

NOW the fun starts.

Sheets and sheets of brown paper were used cutting out shape after shape after shape in different scales.

We placed these shapes on the mannequins ( Ken and Linds)

I wont show you them all because there was LOADS!

The main point of this was to see how flat shapes come alive on the body and how manipulating one shape can create lots of new ones.
